How does NUCCA work?

The slightest degree of displacement of the spine from its normal position can cause body imbalance and brain stem compression, resulting in increased health problems that are felt throughout the entire body.

By utilizing a formula calculated from physics and the mechanics of x-ray, NUCCA chiropractors can calculate the exact position the entire spine has tilted, shifted, or rotated from its normal anatomical position.

NUCCA has helped many people of all ages regain and maintain their health. The NUCCA technique is a conservative approach to healing that is specific to the individual being treated and it works to enhance the body’s own ability to heal as well.

    Upper Cervical Chiropractors

Our NUCCA chiropractors at NUCCA Wellness Clinic of Chicago specialize in upper cervical chiropractic adjustment providing holistic spinal care.  Upper Cervical Chiropractic focuses on the top two vertebrae in the upper cervical region of the spine, referred to as the C1 (atlas) vertebrae and C2 (axis) vertebrae.

Upper cervical care corrects misalignments of these two vertebrae, also known as Atlas Subluxation, to bring the head and neck spine back into alignment. Correcting the upper cervical misalignment affects the entire body by allowing the nervous system to communicate with the rest of your body effectively.

    What is the NUCCA technique?

The NUCCA technique is a chiropractic care technique developed by the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association (NUCCA).  This technique uses physics and math to calculate the reduction pathway and corrective force necessary to gently align the head and neck.  These calculations allow for alignment correction in the delicate upper cervical area with little force and no neck twisting or popping.

This technique for upper cervical adjustment is so gentle that many patients don’t feel the adjustment.  Upper neck alignment helps balance the entire body and relieve stress on the nerves that feed the brainstem.
