Migraines, Headaches, Neck Pain, Neck Trauma, Chronic Pain, VertigoTrauma to the Head and Neck

According to research done by the Blair Upper Cervical Chiropractic Group, trauma to the neck and/or head can be the cause of migraines and vertigo. Further research was done using an upright MRI that revealed the many problems caused by a misalignment in the vertebrae of the upper neck.

In the report, it stated that: A 54 year-old female patient entered the office with complaints of migraines 1-2 times per week and extreme chronic neck pain and vertigo for the past 10 years. She was injured in a motor vehicle accident ten years prior to her first visit in our office. The patient was seen 19 times over a period of 12 weeks. She received 3 upper cervical corrections during this time. The patient reported having 1 migraine 2 weeks after the first correction. Since that time, she has reported no migraine episodes, neck pain or vertigo.”

What an Upright MRI can Reveal

Dr. Raymond Damadian from New York is the inventor of the upright MRI. By using this machine, he was able to show the damage caused by a misalignment of the upper cervical spine, the top two bones in the spinal column. This misalignment caused the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) to, from, and through the brain to be altered. This can lead to numerous complications for someone because this fluid is vital to proper lubrication of a person’s brain and spinal cord.

Once the flow of CFS is altered, it backs up and causes intracranial pressure. This is due to the misalignment of the vertebrae. What can be done? The only way to find some reprieve from this pressure is to allow an upper cervical chiropractor, such as Dr. Young Chung of Chicago, Illinois, to examine your spine to detect any problems in the upper cervical area. These could be the underlying cause of the backup of CSF. Using a gentle and specific readjustment to this area, the pressure can decrease by up to 28.6% and begin to normalize. This leads to the patient experiencing relief of migraines and many other problems. Why not get in touch with Dr. Chung, and schedule an assessment as soon as possible?
